From the frustrations of Kenyan logistics to building a solution that works.

So what’s Roundi?
Roundi is a delivery route planning platform that helps African SMEs schedule, assign, and track deliveries more cheaply, reliably, and transparently.

But how did we get here?

Let’s back up a bit.
In 2023, we started a company called African Slopes, with a mission to create the best products for Kenyan farmers. Very quickly, we ran into a big challenge: delivery.

We tried teaming up with friends in manufacturing so that we could share one rider and cut costs. The idea was simple—deliver together, spend less. But in practice, it didn’t work.

Fast forward to 2025, we gave it another shot. This time with Carol, through an online store called BurnerMarket. Same mission, different setup. And yet—we hit the same wall: delivery was still a headache.

The problem we kept running into
We realized something about the kind of businesses we were running:

They were food companies, which meant freshness and timing mattered.

They needed to handle a lot of pickups and drop-offs, sometimes within a single day.

We tried existing solutions, but none really fit the reality of an African SME.

Building from experience
After years of building digital products, we decided to turn the problem on its head. Instead of waiting for the perfect delivery tool, we’d build one. Not just for us, but for businesses like ours across Africa.

Enter Roundi
Roundi is designed to move volumes of small orders while helping delivery teams serve customers delightfully. It’s simple, rider-friendly, and built to help businesses grow without delivery becoming a bottleneck.

Now we get to see how Roundi powers BurnerMarket—and how it can serve other SMEs facing the same delivery struggles. It’s scary and exciting all at once, but that’s what makes the journey worth it. We can’t wait to see what comes of it.

Our Beta test starts this Wednesday. If you’d like to try it out with your business, join our waitlist at roundi.afric
